When you are trying to control everybody's reaction

Isaiah 41:10

Do not fear, God is with you and will strengthen and uphold you.

When you are trying to control everybody's reaction. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. There is a difference between acknowledging reality and surrendering your identity to it. One is wisdom. The other is captivity. Fear is loud because it wants to be treated like prophecy. Jesus Christ tells the truth about the future even when you cannot see it. Bring the real problem to Jesus Christ, not the polished version. He already knows what is underneath.

What story are you attaching to this situation that Jesus Christ never said about you?

Jesus, interrupt whatever is automatic in me that does not look like Your truth. Give me a clear mind, a guarded heart, and the courage to do the next faithful thing. Amen.
